Michael Griffin Escape Artist: Nearly Stabbed During Shocking Magic Trick
Day 10 of the 30 Day Escape Challenge.
Someone sent me this video taken during an early morning teacher’s conference show in Ohio in August 2021. I wanted to share this to contrast the video of the Russian Roulette I perform. I had mentioned in the video Day 9 of the 30 Day Escape Challenge that I rarely perform that anymore as its just too scary for a lot of family audiences. I came up with this presentation a few years ago and it has proven to be popular with our crowds including repeat crowds and they usually say “I almost peed when you did it, was so nervous”. Hey, reactions like that are why magic is so fun.
I was performing this once and like everyone asks “have you ever had an accident performing it?” yes, not an accident where I pee like the audience members getting nervous lol, but down south a couple of years ago I couldn’t quite get into the mental place I need to be to make this work and as Fate would have it, BAM!!! impaled.
Yes, it hurt, and no I normally don’t feel pain like most folks…this actually took a few seconds to sink in. When you stub your toe in the dark and you know it’s gonna hit your brain in a few seconds? yup, that feeling is even harder and weirder. That show I finished, a bit bloody but, still happy that the crowd had a good time and seemed to enjoy hanging around after waiting on an autograph.
That’s the story for today’s video, kinda quick and to the point (oh yeah got my bad magic pun in lol)
